Impact of High Quality Pre-K:

Months gained in reading and math skills by Hoosier pre-k students after just 9-10 months in a high-quality program: 15[xi]

In states like Michigan, Oklahoma and North Carolina, where pre-k programs have been in existence for generations, test scores and overall academic achievement improved and students were more likely to graduate high school on time were less likely to miss school or repeat grades. [xii]

Due to Indiana’s pre-k pilot program, 50% parents of enrolled students have reported they have been able to increase work hours, 35% have found new employment and 60% have become engaged in their child’s classroom as volunteer. [xiii]
